Object classifications and characteristics generated from AI cameras are an effective way to speed up investigations. Within exacqVision, the user can filter for various objects such as people, cars, trucks, backpacks etc., including clothing and vehicle colors.
With the updates releasing with 23.09 forensic searches are more than 50x faster compared to previous versions, continuing to deliver on the customer objective of saving time and money on incident response.
Metadata Storage Improvements
The need to better manage the storage space used by AI metadata coming through is becoming crucial. This is due to the uptick in adoption of AI cameras and the leaps they have made in detecting more objects and related characteristics. The new option that will be available to customers will allow for fine tuning the storage space used by the incoming metadata.
With this new version, there is new retention option called ‘Maximum Days to Keep Bounding Box Metadata’ – which is the frame-by-frame information coming through on object position. By keeping this setting to the minimum needed, the customer can continue to allow for longer term retention time for more significant data such as alarms, object classification and characteristics.
A Power User Without Video Privileges
Customers operating under certain unique policy and privacy constraints need to restrict the access to video to admin level users. These users, while having no ability to look at live or search video, still need to access to other parts of the system for monitoring and management.
We now have a new user role allowing for navigation of the exacqVision VMS – look at camera list, events, manage network, manage archiving, manage recording schedule, add devices and much more – without ever being able to access the video stream.
The user role is named ‘Power User (no video)’. This user has all the typical privileges of a power user with no ability to view live video, search video or export video from exacqVision.
Color Code Camera Icons on a Map
On a map that is dense with cameras, customers can now better organize them for quickly identifying the cameras of interest. For example, green for fisheye cameras, yellow for cameras that have a 90-degree rotated image or assigning colors based on the camera make/model. Colored icons also make it easy to identify the camera on black and white map layout.
Audit Reports in Enterprise Manager
Customers can address gaps in their policies and develop best use recommendations around their video security system deployment, by having the retrospective knowledge of who-did-what-when-where within exacqVision.
With this release, the Enterprise Manager has a new menu item under the ‘Reporting’ category called ‘Audit reporting’. Click on that provides the user the ability to filter and browse through the table of various kind of actions done by any user on the Enterprise Manager.
Configure Oldest Content for Cloud Drive Upload
Customers can make sure the newer video is backed up more quickly instead of waiting for the archiving process to go through months of older video.
When configuring cloud drive to archive local video to the cloud, there is new option called ‘Oldest Content To Upload’. This option, whose value is in ‘days’, controls how far back in time the archiving process looks before attempting to make a copy in the cloud.
Illustra Multisensor Network Loss Recording
Customers can now use this Network Loss Recording(NLR) feature on the Illustra Progen4 multisensor( all 4 sensors) and also the new Illustra Dual sensor when released.
Upon network loss this feature provides the ability to record to SD card and then seamlessly transfer the data to the NVR upon restoring of the network.
Search Axis Cameras Based on Clothing Color
Prior to this version on Axis cameras only vehicle color was being detected and recorded, but with this 23.09 version along with the Axis camera firmware update to 11.5.xx we have both vehicle and clothing color recording and searching capability.
The customer can now search video based on upper and lower clothing color attributes of an object be it person or vehicle.
ONVIF Plug and Play Capability
Customers can now connect any ONVIF Profile-S, Profile-T compliant cameras to exacqVision system and can have motion recording capability with the blue border without any manual intervention.
Any new manufacturer-based camera models should seamlessly work with motion in exacqVision system and help sales, integrators with the brownfield projects.
